How we can help

Fascia repair & replacement

Fascia is the board or finished face along the roof edge, where eavestroughs are commonly attached. Loose metal, peeling finishes or damaged wood can call for repair or replacement before new coverings or gutters are installed.

Soffit installation & repairs

Soffit covers the underside of the roof overhang. Damaged or missing panels, loose edges and existing ventilation openings should be reviewed together when planning repair or replacement work.

Aluminum capping & finishing

Aluminum capping provides a finished surface over suitable fascia and trim. The condition beneath it matters: a cover should not be treated as a repair for deteriorated support material.

Look at the whole roof edge before covering damage

From a safe position on the ground, look for missing soffit panels, loose fascia coverings or eavestroughs pulling away from the roof edge. Photos of the affected side and a wider view of the roofline help explain the problem.

Soffit ventilation must be considered as part of the existing roof and attic arrangement. Replacing a panel does not by itself establish that the home has adequate ventilation. Discuss known moisture, pest or ventilation concerns during the assessment so the limits of the exterior work are clear.

What affects the cost?

A useful estimate starts with the scope and condition of the home. Factors include:

  • Length and depth of the roof overhangs
  • Height, access and number of roofline transitions
  • Condition of existing fascia boards and soffit panels
  • Capping details, ventilation requirements and any related eavestrough work

Soffit & Fascia: common questions

What is the difference between soffit and fascia?

Soffit is beneath the roof overhang; fascia runs along the outward-facing roof edge. They meet at the eaves but have different positions and repair needs.

Can aluminum capping fix rotted fascia?

Capping provides a covering and finish. Deteriorated wood or support behind it needs to be assessed and addressed; simply covering rot does not restore the underlying material.

Should fascia work happen before new eavestroughs?

The supporting fascia should be assessed before new eavestroughs are attached. If both need work, discuss them together so repairs and installation can be planned in a sensible order.
